The main advantage of the castable abutment is the opportunity to make a custom abutment featuring all the patient's personal needs. DSI castable abutments provide excellent grip and optimal connection to the implant. Made of Acetal (Delrin®), a very strong plastic material that retains its shape. It is perfect for highly accurate and detailed full partials for direct investment casting. Acetal burns out completely without leaving any residue at all and gives the best results. DSI castable abutments Do not expand or shrink during preparation and maintain dimension stability throughout the process. Thanks to the ability to be sculptured as needed, DSI castable abutments offer a great aesthetic solution for all kinds of restorations.
Nonetheless, DSI castable abutments have different bases, regular ones are built completely from acetyl plastic, and there are titanium base castables and chrome cobalt ones. There are also anatomic castable abutments which include even an angle selection, for better aesthetics and incredible final restorations.

DSI castable abutments have regular or narrow platforms for different implant diameters. Also, DSI castable abutments are designed with a hexagonal connection which is perfectly fit for any single unit restoration and a rotational connection for bridges and restorations that requires more than one anchor point.
*Narrow* - Narrow platform 2.0mm internal hex connection - for narrow implant 3.0mm
*Regular* - Regular platform 2.42mm internal hex connection
